Dues-paying members of the union help shape the agenda and priorities of the union, choose and serve as leaders, and work with other unions on campus and across the city and state on collective initiatives. By joining TAUP, you will not only support and participate in the necessary work of the union, but you’ll gain access to various resources and opportunities to engage with fellow members in making a difference at Temple.

Many of the benefits outlined below are provided through our affiliate union, the American Federation of Teachers. To utilize these benefits, you’ll need your Member ID number and/or AFT membership card. When you joined TAUP, you should have received a member card from the AFT approximately a month after paying your first month of dues. If you don’t know where your membercard is or yours is lost or damaged, you can request a new one through the AFT or by contacting the TAUP office.
