This Tuesday, the election for Philadelphia’s mayor, city council, the judiciary and other important races will be held. The outcome will profoundly affect Philadelphia and other places where our members live. Because Temple is Philadelphia’s public university, it’s crucial that TAUP members are informed, engaged and involved.
Here are the pro-education, pro-labor candidates that our Committee on Political Education (COPE) has endorsed. Note that voters in Philadelphia get to vote for as many as 5 members for City Council at-large, with no party allowed more than 5 seats. This means that at least 2 seats are reserved for the non-majority party.

Whomever you decide to vote for, we urge you to get out and exercise your hard-won democratic rights on Tuesday!
